APPLICATION PROCESS
The Canadian Trillinium School program is designed to meet the needs of students who fall in the normal range. The Canadian Trillinium School is not meant to be a school that supports student with significant learning disabilities. Our admissions policy recognizes that the Canadian Trillinium School is not designed to program for students who are functioning two or more years below the expected grade level. Students who are determined to be functioning two or more years below the expected grade level, will not be admitted.
Application and Admission
On application for entry into the school, a formal screening assessment will be conducted which shall include:
Elementary:
Review of birth certificate and past school records (transcript and report cards)
If deemed appropriate, an assessment will be conducted by the designated Student Support Staff Member for the Elementary School.
Secondary:
Review of birth certificate and past school records (transcripts and report cards) by the Guidance Department or Administration to determine: acceptance, grade placement, equivalencies and course requirements at the secondary school level. A placement test may be required.
Acceptance:
Entry of a student into the program of the Canadian Trillinium School is at the sole discretion of the school’s operational administration, who must approve all student applications.
